Properly Preparing the Opening

Before installing doors and windows, the opening must be properly prepared. If the opening surface is uneven, leveling should be performed first to ensure the verticality and horizontality meet requirements. For brick walls, remove loose debris such as dust and loose bricks around the opening. For concrete walls, roughening may be necessary to enhance adhesion between the door/window and the wall. Additionally, anchor plates must be installed within the opening. Their spacing and positioning should comply with design specifications, typically placed approximately every 500mm, with no more than 150mm distance from any window or door corner. Anchor plates securely fasten the window or door to the wall, preventing displacement during use.

Precise Installation of Door and Window Frames

After positioning the frame within the opening, use tools such as a level and plumb bob to adjust its vertical and horizontal alignment, ensuring the frame is perfectly square. After adjustment, temporarily secure the frame with wooden wedges. Then firmly connect the fixing plates to the wall using expansion bolts or nail guns. During connection, pay attention to the depth and spacing of bolts or nails to ensure a secure and reliable bond. Avoid direct hammering or excessive force on the frame to prevent damage. For larger doors or windows, hoisting equipment may be required to ensure safe and precise installation.

Ensure Proper Sealing

Sealing is a critical step in window and door installation, directly impacting their airtightness, thermal insulation, and soundproofing. Fill the gaps between the frame and wall with foam sealant. Apply the sealant evenly and continuously to ensure complete coverage of the gaps. Since foam sealant shrinks slightly after curing, apply a slightly larger amount than needed. After the foam sealant has cured, apply a secondary sealant to the gaps. Select a high-quality sealant with excellent elasticity and weather resistance. Apply it smoothly and evenly, ensuring no air pockets or cracks remain. Additionally, seal the gap between the frame and glass using a weatherstripping sealant. Install the sealant firmly and flatly, ensuring it is free from distortion or separation.

Proper Installation of Door/Window Sashes and Accessories

When installing door/window sashes, ensure uniform gaps between the sash and frame, with smooth, unobstructed operation free from jamming or friction. For casement windows, adjust hinge positioning and tension to enable effortless opening/closing. For sliding windows, ensure wheels are securely mounted and glide smoothly, with stable sash movement along tracks. Additionally, properly install handles, locks, and other hardware to ensure convenient operation and full functionality. Locks must be positioned accurately with tight engagement between locking points and strike plates to guarantee burglary resistance.
